Program Dates: January 7th, 2020 - January 14th, 2020
Eligibility: Open to full-time Lehigh University sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students in degree-seeking programs AND Lehigh University alumni. In addition, applicant (1) must be in good academic standing, (2) may not be on disciplinary probation at the time of application, and (3) Bursar account must be paid in full.
Essay: Pay particular attention to the essay portion of the application. There are no interviews for LSV2020, so tell us why you want to go, why you will benefit from this trip, and why you should be one of the 56 chosen to attend.
Early Application Deadline: Those who apply by October 11, 2019 at Noon will received $150 off the total program cost. This is also the deadline for anyone who would like to be considered for financial aid.
Final Application Deadline: All applications must be submitted by October 21, 2019 by noon.
Application Review: Applications will be reviewed and acceptances will be sent by October 28th.
Total Cost: $4650 | Covers both the tuition for 3 credits and program fee but does not include airfare to and from California.
The program fee covers your hotel accommodations, ground transportation during the program, and most meals.
Application Deposit: $250 | Due when application is submitted and is included in the $4650 total cost. It will be reimbursed for those who are not accepted or who are accepted, but are unable to attend due to lack of sufficient financial aid.
Financial Aid: When applying, please indicate if you would like to be considered for financial aid. Those who are considered for financial aid must apply by the early application deadline of October 11, 2019 at Noon. If you are accepted, but are offered a financial aid package that you decide is too small, you will be reimbursed the $250 application deposit.
Payment: All charges (minus any deposits and early discounts) will be sent to the bursar to put onto your bursar accounts. You will pay the charges on your bursar account the same as you would any tuition charge. If you received financial aid, those credits will also be put on your account.
Flights: You are responsible for booking and paying for their own flights into San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
During LSV2020: Students will travel together in busses to and from LSV2020 programs.
Before/After: You are free to book flights arriving days before LSV2020 begins and departing after LSV2020 ends if you plan to travel in the San Francisco area. It is each students' responsibility to arrange for accommodations for any travel before or after LSV2020.
Hotel: The Baker Institute provides a hotel room for every 2 students. Roommates are randomly assigned based on by gender identity and/or graduate level/age. You must stay at the hotel during LSV2020.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided most days, except for free times when you will be responsible for your own meals.
Behavior: You are a representative of Lehigh University at all times, including open time, during LSV. You are leaving a legacy and setting the example for all LSV participants from this point forward. You are expected to follow the Lehigh University Student Code of Conduct and adhere to the LSV Student Understanding and Agreement you agreed to and signed during the application process. Per the Agreement, behavior deemed inappropriate by the faculty, is subject to dismissal from the program, loss of tuition and fees, loss of academic credit, and early return to Lehigh at your own cost. Dress: Business casual should be worn during all LSV2020 programmed time.
Grades: You will be graded on a mixture of engaged participation, pre-program assignments, individual and team activities, individual submissions, live case presentations, and peer evaluations. There will be no exams during LSV2020.
