Justin Gelwicks '23 bested nine other competitors during the 2020 Startup Lehigh Valley Pitch Competition. In its second year, this competition was hosted by South Bethlehem's Factory, LLC and brought ten local start up companies together to pitch for $10,000 in prizes.
Justin won with WoodGoods, his startup that produces personalized wooden lacrosse sticks. Justin has had plenty of practice perfecting his pitch, as he is a veteran EUREKA! Pitch Night competitor - who pitched for our Thalheimer Grand Prize in April of this year - and completed the Hatchery: Student Idea Accelerator this summer. During the November 18th event, Justin not only won the judges prize, but also the audience prize, blowing away the competition with 200 out of 375 votes.
