Our programs teach students to recognize problems as opportunities and create valuable solutions. No matter their area of study, students learn to see the world through the lens of entrepreneurship.

How do we do this?

Through Design Thinking, the Business Model Canvas
and real world practice.

At Baker, we offer a wide array of compelling programs to help nurture our students and their ideas, ranging from two-hour dinners to two-month immersion programs. Students who've experienced them often describe them as transformational. Walk in with an idea, and perhaps you'll walk out with an inspiration.

Design Thinking

Design Thinking is human-centered approach to problem solving and innovation. It cycles through five main processes: empathy, define, ideate, prototype, and test. It's the foundation of our work at the Baker Institute and we love to share it across campus.

LehighSiliconValley brings Lehigh undergraduate and graduate students together with alumni in Silicon Valley, the hub of entrepreneurship, for a week-long immersion into new-venture creation. Students are focusing on real companies, real players, and real situations in real time.

EUREKA! Pitch Nights

Through a series of competitions and a final pitch to a board of experts, the EUREKA! program offers a platform for students, faculty and alumni to work creatively toward needed business proposals. The EUREKA! program is open to all Lehigh students, faculty and staff, so long as each team has a student as its primary member.

The Hatchery

The best way to spend your summer is an immersive, full time learning experience where participants apply design thinking and lean startup methods to develop solutions to big problems and test potential business ideas. We want students who are passionate about learning the foundational skills of entrepreneurship while working on problems that matter.
